Re: Termination of membership

Dear APU Members,

As announced, on 31 December 2023, APU will terminate its affiliation with the IPF. 

For some people, there are important decisions regarding the direction that they want to go.

To reiterate, participation in IPF Sanctioned competitions require you to be a member of the National affiliate to the International Powerlifting Federation, no other federation.

Therefore, if you are going to go with the IPF affiliate in 2024, you may cancel your membership with APU before 31 December 2023, and receive a pro-rata refund, calculated based on the remaining full months from the cancellation date.

This offer of pro-rata refund will end on 31 December 2023, and from 1 January 2024, termination will be on conditions of APU bylaws and constitution (i.e. no refund).

APU is continuing with its local, State and National competitions, and is also in discussions with numerous international federations regarding affiliation. We will have further details in the coming weeks.
