APU Statement_Social Media Related Incident (Sept 2023)

Dear Members,

Recently, the APU Board was asked to investigate a matter which involved a possible breach of the code of behaviour involving Social Media.

Respectfully, the APU President declared a conflict of interest to the matter and was not involved in any of the decision-making processes.

APU is committed to the health, safety and well-being of all its members, and participants at all levels and is dedicated to providing a safe and inclusive environment for those participating in the sport.

The board determined that APU does not have the jurisdiction to make any determination on matters that happened in private, and outside APU events.

In these situations, all members are encouraged to seek legal advice or contact the police to get the best resolution.
